GY invents a telephone that allows you to call in the past; In this story, first Donald Duck and then Uncle Scrooge venture into multiple parallel universes, according to the classic "what if" incipit. The screenwriter creates, for each universe, a claustrophobic and alienating atmosphere, such as to persuade the reader to want to escape from it, exactly like the characters; and yet, upon closer inspection, the universes visited by Donald Duck and Uncle Scrooge also present considerable advantages. Obviously, it doesn't occur to anyone to find a middle ground.
