The story begins with mysterious protagonist "Grande Splash" wandering at night and performing several cryptic and unexplained activities. He is then accosted by two figures dressed like him, and all three board a car and simply vanish. Donald and several Duck-affiliated characters, friends and enemies alike, are summoned to continue the story. They gather at the money bin, and while they talk most of its contents also disappear. There are two mysteries to resolve, and each of the gathered characters has his own ideas and narrative to tell.
