Looks like a mix-up in names.

The characters file has:

But the German name translations file has:

There is some inconsistency in the names.
(1) In german INDUCKS, the person list of the story "I TL 3464-1P" contains 7 persons having their 1st appearance. 6 of them are represented correctly by their german names, except "Irma from TL 3464" (italian name), must be "Geisira" (german name) instead.
(2) The alphabetical INDUCKS person list (via headline menu) contains 6 of these persons correctly (e.g. "Bintang Rangi; MDS witch colleague), but the linked character pages do only contain the german names (Bintang), not the original italian names (Rangi).
(3) In the same list, the entry "Geisira", however, is linked to the (as I guess) different charakter "Irma".
So, there is (most likely) a mismatch to "Irma" instead of "Irma from TL 3464", or (less likely) the author of the story has used the existing character "Irma" (then, "Irma" and "Irma from TL 3464" would in fact be the same character.

While I've never updated the character list (don't know if I am authorized), it looks that the solution is simple:

in the De list of character changing

from

to
heroes-de.dbl: Irma from TL 3464 ^ Geisira

You are correct. I changed the name. This should be mostly fixed by tomorrow.

Correct. Her German name Geisira was associated to a wrong character, Irma (from W.I.T.C.H.).

The page for Rangi in Inducks' German translations shows only the name Bitang because the character Rangi has only one translation: Bitang in German. The Inducks list of Italian character names/translations is unfortunately not up to date and it's missing all those new witch characters alltogether.

On other translations the page shows the name Rangi as the main name.

The list of characters actually do have HDL4 but it's shown as HDL (4).

Aha... I wanna remember that this displayed differently in COA earlier, but maybe it changed. As long as you say it's correct then :)

Thanks from my side as well for having submitted this index! I've identified 14 more stories, out of which 2 were not indexed before. Unfortunately, my sources on those Toy Story stories are incomplete and as it seems like the remaining other stories are unindexed, adding a story code to the others is hard right now.

I'll try to obtain more information on those stories (but this will take some months).

Description changed. But it apparently really is made for the Barks story, although it doesn't represent an event from the story.

I can confirm that it was made for the third part of the 3-part version of Darkest Africa that ran in the Scandinavian weeklies 1994.
(D 11551 was made for the second part. There might be one for the first part, but I have not seen it.)

Hi! I see that the idea was already in ZB 4606 (https://inducks.org/s...?c=ZB+4606). Do you prefer a link between the two stories, as you have already done? Instead I'd suggest treating the two stories as, *independently* of each other, inspired by Chandler Harris' original short story, either leaving the link between the two or not (you do it). In any case, I can take care of the reference in the ZB story myself, since I was given the opportunity.

Xrefs should point from the newer story to the original one, so only one xref field is enough.

He's right. According to the scans the last strips of YM 005 in fr/PP31 are listed as being part of YM 006.

PP31-04-01 = YM 31-02-17 <- fr/PP lists this as YM 006 which is wrong.

Why can't we just call him by his name, Jabiru Kapirigi? He isn't likely to be confused with another character, in my opinion.

We might as well index Theodore Roosevelt as Theodore the Yankee!

aboriginal or aborigine, is good to have in name for finding this character when searching inducks, due to he is connected to the aboriginal religion/creation story which is part of the story the character is featured in

I am with DuckfanDownUnder on this one. This character full name in orginal story is Jabiru Kapirigi, so the page name should also be Jabiru Kapirigi.

This is how inducks character list should work, if we know character full name, the name of his page should be his full name. If we only know his last or first name, we can gave a extra info to the name page, in order to make them distinted from other characters.

Examples: Spike the bee, make sense cause Spike is rather generic name, usually for dogs. Calvin the new recruit, also make sense, cause Calvin is very common name. Hortense the horse, they are at least three other characters named Hortense, etc.

The addition of extra information, is not necessary with Jabiru character. Argumentations above is not convincing for me and felt inconsistent with the way how page works. What do you think about Pa Per Ling the chinese philosopher? Zaius the wise dragon? Theodore Roosevelt the USA president? Tachyon Farflung the alien thief? I just add informations connected to the story this characters are featured in, which help in searching them.

Why not doing this with all of them? Why Jabiru name page need to be simplified, but for this characters don't? Wouldn't be better for search, if we just call him: Aboriginal from Life and Times of Scrooge McDuck, by that logic?

Let's think about a compromise. My proposal:

1)Changing the name page for this character to "Jabiru Kapirigi". We gonna treat him, like other characters with full name know. Inducks should acknowledge the fact, that it was, and still is his full orginal name since the beginning and he was never just Jabiru.
2)Adding description for the character: "Aged aboriginie wiseman. US' friend". This will help with searching this character. And we are not gonna disscusing if this is right way to call this charcter. Facts. This is how author of this story, described this character, word to word. This is how later reprints of this story keeps describing this character, without any changes. This is how it was, this is how still is, we simply stay true to the source material.
3)In order for description mentioned above be visible, Jabiru Kapirigi must become official part of inducks character list. Which will help very much in searching this character on site. I know, he didn't appeared in more than one story, so he don't really fulfill requirements. But I think for sake of compromise, we should made a exception. (BTW, this wouldn't be the only one-shot charcter officially listed on inducks page)
4)We also should adding on his character page his first comic appearance (D 92314) and universe (Ducks). This will help also in searching.

I inserted [xref:YD 51-08-25(First panel)] There's already an internal comment that it looks like Taliaferro art, so I don't know where the Rydahl credit comes from, or if it's simply a remake of that panel.

It's redrawn. In the original panel HDL1's left foot covers DD's tail, the movement lines are different, both have black shirts etc.
