Ed van Schuijlenburg - Ballpoint-EddyEd van Schuijlenburg draws for the Weekly since 1969 (in the beginning through the Toonder studio). Initially, his stories were not very outstanding, but it became better and better since 1974/1975. In 1978, for instance, some excellent Brer Rabbit and Jiminy Cricket stories were published.Later on, Van Schuijlenburg became the art director of the Weekly. This means that every piece of artwork goes through his hands, and he checks it on style and errors. This also implies that he makes less stories and covers himself. In recent years, we usually only see the "traditional" Sinterklaas issue cover.
