In 1989, Frank Jonker wins a Donald Duck writing contest, organised by Het Stripschap.
After this, Jonker becomes one of the regular story writers for the Weekly. He doesn't only
writes stories with the Ducks, but also with nearly all other Disney characters that appear
in the Weekly.
Well-known are his stories of The Great Mouse Detective (Basil from Bakerstreet) and the
short Madam Mim stories where she encounters a fairy tale.
Frank Jonker also writes comic stories for Tina (a girls' comic magazine), song texts, and
illustrated stories.
