Romano Scarpa: an Italian in the Weekly

One of the stories that were reprinted in 1998 was "De Flying Scot" by Italian Romano Scarpa. The story was printed before in a pocket book. For the reprint in the Weekly, they remounted the story from 3 tiers to 4 tiers per page. Unfortunately, several panels were removed in this process.

The beautiful cover to the story was drawn by Michel Nadorp.

The favourite year of... Henri Kunne

It's hard to choose. My preferences are very slight. Eventually, I chose a very recent year: 1998. The yearly choice for the back cover gags, the "Duckies", is very good. With the new hairdo of the Nieces, you almost get a sense of continuity!
Finally, the reason that I prefer that year to 2000 has to do with that really ugly teacher who often is in the 2000 gags.
